Pacific College Alumni Profile - Hae Jung Park:
A native of Korea , her passion for Oriental medicine can be traced to her early childhood, when she perceived the importance of regimen, the ancient wisdom of how to take care of oneself. Regimen includes ways of breathing, eating and first aid with acupuncture and herbal medicine in a holistic way. Hae Jung treats a wide range of disorders caused by either emotional or physical imbalances at her Brooklyn practice, Doraji Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. Physical discomforts affect emotion in the same manner that emotional imbalances can cause physical discomforts as manifestations of the mental state. She transforms those dis-eases into eases by using these ancient healing methods. Hae Jung has a firm belief in Oriental medicine that is based on the fundamental rules of nature and universe. She incorporates these beliefs into her practice. Currently she practices Tai Chi Quan, meditation and Qi Gong, movement exercises, which she feels contribute to practicing Oriental medicine. Hae Jung Park is a licensed acupuncturist in New York and a nationally certified Chinese herbalist. She earned her Master of Science degree in traditional Oriental medicine from Pacific College , New York in 2003. She is also Nationally Certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
