Pacific College Alumni Profile - Dr. Greg Sperber:

Dr. Greg Sperber is a 1997 MTOM graduate of Pacific College , San Diego . He also holds a bachelor of science in molecular biology from the University of California , San Diego . Greg worked as a business and computer consultant to several small businesses including one that combined acupuncture, herbs, and massage while getting his master of business administration with an emphasis in healthcare administration from National University . Computers are still his main hobby, although his career has taken the medical route.

Greg moved to Australia to attend medical school at Flinders University of South Australia, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS, the British equivalent to an MD) in 2002. During the four years Greg spent in Australia , he established an acupuncture and herbal practice and became the department chair of traditional Chinese medicine at the Adelaide Training College of Complementary Medicine.

Currently he is a professor and clinical supervisor at Pacific College where he will finish his doctorate of acupuncture and Oriental medicine in December 2005. Also, Greg is writing a book with Bob Flaws and is starting a magazine for the profession, slated to debut March 2006. He hopes to have a new practice up and running in the near future as well.

Greg appreciates a good game of Texas Hold 'Em, and enjoys both theater and film. Apart from his hobbies, he derives much satisfaction from his profession.

"The most rewarding aspect of OM is that little thrill that happens when a patient comes in and says they have been completely problem free since your treatment," said Greg. "As many times as I have seen that, I still go wow, this medicine is really cool."

Congratulations, Greg, on all your success!
