Pacific College Alumni Profile - Farley C. Hom, LAc, OTR:

Farley C. Hom is currently practicing in Santa Monica, CA where he specializes in orthopedic sports injuries and chronic pain. He is also practicing Occupational Therapy (OT) at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. Farley graduated from USC in 1994 with a BS in Occupational Therapy. He has 12 years of experience as an OT treating Stroke, Orthopedic, Traumatic Brain Injured, Cancer, Geriatric, HIV/AIDS, and Spinal Cord Injured patients.

As an Acupuncturist, Farley has worked at UCSD RIMAC Sports Center, UCSD Downtown Seniors Free Clinic, and assisted Matt Callison, sports acupuncturist and certified trainer at Acusport Health Center in addition to the required clinical internship at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Farley also studied acupuncture and herbs in China at Cheng Du University in 2004.

His own personal experience of avoiding a spinal surgery through acupuncture has driven him to combine both medical fe lds to help others improve and maintain their independence and quality of life with conservative means.
