Pacific College Alumni Profile - Donald Phillips
Donald Phillips is a 2002 graduate. He lives in the Kensington area of San Diego. He currently teaches classes and assists in supervising at the Seniors Clinic, the Pacific Beach Homeless Clinic and the Community Clinic shift at Pacific College. He sees private clients in Bankers Hill area of San Diego. Donald founded Insight Acupuncture in July of 2007. He treats people for pain of all types, emphasizing the connection between body, mind, emotions and spirit. He has worked previously at La Jolla Personal Physicians, where he treated mainly orthopedic cases, he worked with two internal medicine doctors, a pulminology and emergency medicine specialist, and an OB/GYN doctor. He saw cases ranging from pain to internal medicine to psycho/social disorders. He also worked at North Coast Chiropractic, Donald treated people for pain associated with work injuries or post surgical pain that had not responded to other forms of therapy. His interest in acupuncture and Oriental medicine began in massage school during a survey of Asian massage modalities where they taught the holistic medicine model of health. At PCOM, Donald was an active member of Student Council, serving at one time as President, and worked as a work-study student in the clinic office.
