Athletes Children Korean Medical Public Education Supporters

Providing information to the community on holistic health care is an essential part of our mission. In order to further the understanding of the profession of Oriental medicine and body therapy, Pacific College provides informative Open Houses, speakers to local organizations, and special events and workshops at the college.

At Pacific, we believe that maintaining a dialogue with other members of the health care community and the public at-large through these activities is key to the growth of our students and the profession. Community outreach allows Pacific students and alumni to participate in activities where they can directly experience the benefits of networking and charitable, community service.

How outreach benefits students & prepares them for success:

  • Students practice & build skills in talking to prospective patients about Oriental Medicine and Massage Therapy.
  • Students gain experience speaking with other healthcare providers (doctors, nurses, hospital staff, chiropractors, etc.) about Oriental Medicine and Massage Therapy.
  • Students build a network of healthcare professionals and community organizations with whom they can work with in the future.
  • Community members receive an introduction and education about Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

*If you know of an organization which would benefit from community education about Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, let us know.  Our Outreach and Alumni services Departments can provide free sample acupuncture treatments for relaxation, speakers on a wide variety of topics, and staff information tables at health fairs, educational or fundraising events.
