Dr. Joann Xie graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1986. She practiced integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in the hospital affiliated with the university. She came to the U.S and studied Pharmacology and Toxicology in the University of Kansas Medical Center and graduated with a Master degree in Pharmacology. She then became a research scientist in drug discovery and development in biotech company. She is a member of the Endocrine Society and has a private practice in Solana Beach specializing in endocrine related conditions.
