Deb Davies, L.Ac., Dipl. OM, is a qualified health care practitioner
with over 12 years of experience, specializing in women and children's
health issues. She works in private practice in La Jolla.
Beginning her holistic studies with a massage
certificate program at Mind-Body College in 1999, Ms. Davies has
earned certificates in massage therapy, Oriental Body Therapy,
Holistic Health Practitioner, and acupuncture from Pacific College of
Oriental Medicine (PCOM). She is currently working on her doctorate of
acupuncture and Oriental medicine with an expected completion date of
December 2013.
Deb has a great passion for integrative medicine. She began the
Integrative Medical Discussion Group in 2006 and facilitated quarterly
meetings at PCOM with Eastern and Western medical students and
professionals. Deb was the Director of Alumni Services & Community
Education at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine for 3 years. She
sits on the board for The Alternative Healing Network since the
inception of the organization in 2004, a nonprofit organization that
promotes the use of integrative healing arts and improves access to
alternative health care in under-served neighborhoods. Deb also
recently became the Community Partnership Committee Co-Director of
UCSD's new Center for Integrative Medicine.
Her goal and main concern is to educate the community on options in
health care, and promote prevention and wellness.
