Marly began her exploration into healing modalities with her study and teaching of a form of movement therapy called Movement Expression. This was in the 1970’s in Los Angeles where she also began doing massage.
She earned her degree in Massage Therapy at IPSB before graduating from California Acupuncture College in 1987. Shortly thereafter, she spent several weeks in China, where she studied Tui Na at the Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. On that trip Marly also stopped in Hong Kong where she bought her first book on canine acupuncture. Since that time Marly has studied and practiced treating dogs and cats (and she loves it).
After returning to San Diego, Marly studied the Balance Method as a private apprentice with Richard Tan for 10 years. In addition to being a Clinical Supervisor at Pacific, Marly specializes in treating pain, emotional disorders such as anxiety and depression, internal imbalances, insomnia, and hormonal imbalances.
In her private practice in San Diego Marly also works with nutrition advising her patients in the use of food as medicine.
