Cliff Lara, D.C., D.A.B.C.O. graduated cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in 1981. He subsequently earned the Diploma in Chiropractic Orthopedics, an exclusive designation in the chiropractic profession awarded by the American Board of Chiropractic Examiners. While at Palmer, he helped to develop its curriculum, particularly its biomedicine and chiropractic technique courses. Dr. Lara has been a professor at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine since 1991. He developed a comprehensive post-graduate program to teach acupuncturists orthopedic and neurological examination. He is the chair of Pacific’s Department of Basic and Biomedical Sciences and a valuable member of the doctoral curriculum development team. Dr. Lara directs an integrative clinic offering chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy. For 17 years, he has also practiced Veterinary Chiropractic with a focus on equine chiropractic, working for the Del Mar Race Track and stables throughout San Diego.
