Linda Yuxia Qiu, MMed, LAc


Linda Yuxia Qiu earned her degree of Bachelor in Medicine from Hebei Medical University Traditional Chinese Medicine College in 1996, and her degree of Master in Medicine from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1999. Qiu worked at Huguosi Teaching Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 1999 to2000. Qiu was a faculty, clinic supervisor in Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin from 2001 to 2010, and Director of Integral Studies Department from 2007 to 2010. Qiu joined the faculty at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Jan 2011.
Qiu is a licensed acupuncturist in New York, a Diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM), Diplomate in Chinese Herbology (NCCAOM), a member of the World Academic Society of Medical Qigong, and a certified practitioner of American Organization for Bodywork Therapy of Asia. Qiu co-founded Austin Chen Tai Chi Association in2009. Qiu has published many papers in several research fields, including Qigong acupuncture, history of Chinese medicine, fundamental theory of Chinese medicine, acupuncture treatment of various diseases, and was an editor for Dictionary of Acupuncture and Tuina. Her main research areas are medical Qigong, acupuncture, and history and philosophy of medicine. Her clinic specialties are on neurological disorders, emotional disorders, pain management, and cancer care with medical Qigong and acupuncture.
