Kate Henderson is a New York State licensed acupuncturist with five years of experience. She was trained at Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City where she earned a masters of science in acupuncture, and learned to utilize and blend a wide variety of acupuncture styles, including Japanese meridian therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Trigger Point Therapy. She also serves on the faculty of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, teaching beginning acupuncture students clinical skills and Chinese medical examination methods.
Kate has worked extensively in orthopedic settings coordinating with physicians to provide treatment plans for traumatic injuries and chronic pain, and in her private practice focused on endocrine issues, sleep and mood disorders, and women's health. Kate also provides community acupuncture one day weekly for the uninsured, focusing on artists and creatives and their unique issues related to creative problem solving. After losing two close family members to preventable illnesses, Kate is even more committed to providing holistic, natural interventions for a wide spectrum of health issues. Her commitment to patients is grounded in her deep belief that hands-on care, compassion, and being a partner with the patient through their journey to health should be the bedrock of any kind of medicine.
