Guidun Bai, PhD, LAc


Guidun Bai earned a Bachelor's Degree of Microbiology from the University of Kansas in 1985. He holds a Certificate of Acupuncture from Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM in 1986. Bai graduated with his Diploma of Acupuncture from the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in December 1998 (three year program). On June 29, 2003, he gained his degree as a Doctor of Philosophy in Oriental Medicine at Liberty University.
Bai worked as a researcher at the Hospital for Special Surgery sponsored by NCCAM—RCT: Acupuncture Safety/Efficacy in Knee Osteoarthritis. He has a private practice in Five Town, Long Island, and has specialized in pain management, mental depression, and prevention medicine since 1999. He has taught Orthopedic Disorder, Acupuncture Technique classes, and he has been a clinical supervisor since 1999 at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
With his wife, Dr. Mao, Bai published several articles about SARS in Chinese magazines and a Chinese medical report newspaper. He recently published a book about how to observe Meridians, and about the study of the Yunqi theory from Neijin.
