Pacific College of Oriental Medicine is seeking a dynamic individual with outstanding communication and sales skills as well as a positive attitude for the position of Admissions Representative at our Chicago campus.  The qualified candidate must have a proven track record in the area of sales and great customer service in this area. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible appointment subject to annual renewal contingent upon performance and the needs of the college.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the ability to communicate to inquirers to make a real commitment to changing their lives, and to be friendly, compassionate, upbeat and positive at all times.

Job Summary:

Interface with prospective students and people influencing the decision to attend/select school, communicating the philosophy and features of the school. Meet the school’s enrollment objectives in an accurate, professional, and ethical manner.

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

3-5 Years of successful work in sales.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Previous academic admissions or consultative sales experience.
  • An interest in holistic health, bodywork, acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
  • A genuine desire to connect with and support others.
  • The ability to work closely with other people on a daily basis.
  • An ability to reach out and contact people over the phone and in person with warmth and enthusiasm.
  • The knowledge that conversing with many people is typically energizing rather than draining for you.
  • The willingness to have slightly uncomfortable conversations with people in the name of holding the vision they have for their life.
  • The ability to function in a professional office environment that will include a good amount of time on a computer in addition to meeting with people in person.
