Stephen Bonzak, LAc, MSTOM


Stephen Bonzak is a licensed board certified acupuncturist and herbalist. He has a bachelor's in mathematics and literature from Cornell University. Stephen also has a Master of Arts in religious studies from the Chicago Theological Seminary and a Master of Science in Oriental medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. He currently serves as an assistant professor in the Herbal Medicine and Oriental Medicine Departments at PCOM and is a research acupuncturist with the Integrative Medicine Initiative at Children's Memorial Hospital.
Stephen has a wide range of interests in the health sciences. While his current interests include the use of herbal medicine and acupuncture in the treatment of respiratory and digestive disorders, cancer care, women's health and pediatric disorders, the foundation of his knowledge comes from his own healthy living. Being conscious of the spiritual and emotional, as well as the physical components of vitality, he has practiced meditation, qi gong and internal martial arts for 15 years, which he uses as part of his therapeutic approach. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys being with his wife Kate and his son Henry.
